Website Update: AOSIS Transitioning to CRediT Authorship Taxonomy

 

Starting in November 2025, AOSIS will begin using CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) authorship contribution statements for all new submissions and acceptances. Published articles reflecting CRediT statements will appear from 2026. Guidance is available under the Author Guidelines: Formatting Requirements, and all contributions should be disclosed in the Authorship, Disclosure Statements, Copyright, and License Agreement Form (Cover Letter) at submission or the Authorship Change Request Form. Following these guidelines ensures transparency, accountability, and integrity in the publication process.

In 2025, the inclusion of AI policies became compulsory for all SciELO SA journals. Authors using AI-assisted technology must disclose their use in manuscripts to ensure transparency, accuracy, and trust. Guidance is available in the Plagiarism, Fabrication and Artificial Intelligence Policy page and the Submission Guidelines under 'AI-assisted technologies' in the formatting requirements.
